How to get your $50 gift card

It’s easy! If you’re a Blue Shield Promise Medi-Cal or Cal MediConnect member, get vaccinated against COVID-19 between August 29, 2021, and February 28, 2022. Blue Shield Promise will send you a $50 gift card for every member on your plan who is 5+ years old and gets the vaccine, while supplies last.

That’s it! There are no forms to fill out. Blue Shield will take care of everything and send each gift card to you.

Please note: It may take several weeks for Blue Shield to send your gift card(s). The card(s) will arrive in the mail. Booster shots do not qualify for the $50 gift card.

Need an in-home visit or transportation to a vaccine site?

You have a few options – all at no cost to you.

Through the State of California

Unable to leave your home? You can schedule an in-home appointment through MyTurn.ca.gov.

Need a ride to a site? Transportation, including mobility support (such as help with wheelchairs), is available.

Through Blue Shield Promise

Blue Shield Promise Medi-Cal and Cal MediConnect plans include transportation benefits. This service is available 24/7 for vaccine site drop-offs and pick-ups only.¹
